Dave is a civil litigator focusing his practice in the areas of family law and personal injury. He has successfully tried cases in all Metro District Courts and the Minnesota Appellate Court. Dave brings nearly 30 years of experience to helping clients make good decisions in their efforts to resolve very difficult and at times emotional cases. He is truly a counselor at law, combining problem-solving techniques and expert litigation skills to reach a fair and successful result for all clients.
His practice routinely includes complex financial areas involving spousal maintenance, business valuations, and non-marital issues requiring coordinated action with accountants and business evaluators. In addition, he works with parents, grandparents and third parties to find reasonable solutions to questions of custody and parenting time.
Dave also brings to his practice his extensive teaching credentials from 19 years with the paralegal program at Inver Hills Community College and various classes through the practicum program at William Mitchell College of Law. He does not merely litigate for his clients, he educates them on the process.
